Its so easy to make your own Super Mario stages, themed to the style of four different games, yet some of the levels made by the community are simply astonishing. While theres no substitute for Nintendos carefully crafted stage progression, fans arent confined by limitations, or previously established rules of the series, allowing the community to inject an element of uncertainly never before seen in Super Mario Bros. Anything could happen in the next stage, and with the online community at the centre of content creation, the possibilities are endless. This, the courses available on launch weekend, is only the beginning.

DTOID: As expected, Super Mario Maker will seemingly get new DLC post-launch. I mean, the format is ripe for it, both for free and paid content. The first round will include the DLC character of "Necky," (Nekki) Famitsu magazine's mascot, as confirmed by his own publication. It would be really surprising if this made it out of Japan, but it still confirms that Nintendo is keen on adding things to Mario Maker after the fact.
